Recipe Summary Chocolate Chess Pie
A southern recipe for a rich chocolate pie with pecans. Passed down from my Mother and Grandmother.
Ingredients | Simple Easy Chess Pieces1 (9 inch) pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie1 ½ cups white sugar3 ½ tablespoons cocoa½ cup butter, melted1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk2 eggs, beaten1 teaspoon vanilla extract¾ cup chopped pecansDirectionsPreheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)Mix together sugar, cocoa, and melted butter. Stir in evaporated milk, beaten eggs, vanilla, and chopped pecans.Pour nut mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes.
